Christmas 2014

Hard to imagine that Christmas has come and gone!  Here a few pictures of the season for the Bako's!

Peanut Butter Cookies, Chris's favorite cookie.
Biscotti with almonds, cherries and cranberries.
Now here is an interesting cookie, it is the Ronald Regan Cookie.  Perhaps you did not know that he loved these as well as his Jelly Belly's.  They are hazelnut butter cookie filled with rasberry jam and topped with the cut out topper.  So here's to you President Reagan!

"The American dream is not that every man must be level with every other man. The American dream is that every man must be free to become whatever God intends he should become."

So then it was my Birthday month and I really did celebrate all month.  I love MY Birthday because it is my day only!

Here is a picture of the yummy Birthday Brunch.  It was an avacado stuffed with fresh local crabmeat on a handmade biscuit with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce and not to forget stone ground grits.  This was at local place called the The Variety in the Charleston Marina!  All I can say it was AMAZING!!!!

Last is some pictures of the holiday decorations.

This is my Beach Santa!  I just LOVE him, he resides in the guestroom Jan-Nov.

The green and gold garland is handmade in India from Palm Leaves.

Getting ready for Santa!!

  1. Welcome Back my long lost blogging friend. I am so excited to be able to see you and your happenings. The beauty about a blog is the ease in which to 'check up' on people. So glad you've returned to the blogoshere.

As for the cookies, I'm with Chris on the peanut butter ones. Yummy. I did not know that about Reagan. I'm surprised I didn't learn that while at his Library & Museum last month. I guess I'll have to go back!

I'm glad you embrace your birthday like I do. As long as we keep having them, the longer we live. My brother always says, "Better over the hill than under it!"

Looking forward to more opportunities to comment!
