Grandfather Mountain

We spent the day at Granfather Mtn. then off to the Six Pence Pub in Blowing Rock for beer and scotch eggs, ice cream and yummy fudge!  What a wonderful, relaxing day!
For those of you that know Nick loves to get in anyone's photo.  Well today was NO exception, this a baptist church of widows and they loved him!

It is a glorious day here, blue sky and cool weather!  Started the day of nice coffee a fire and then long bubble bath in the big tub! Then as if it could not get better Paula and Brick prepared an amazing breakfast! We are heading to Grandfather Mountain today!

Day One

We arrived safely and the home is perfect!  Had a great lunch of BBQ yesterday then up to the mountain, for lot's of wine, toll house cookie pie and ice cream was supper!  Very good for you in case you did not know!  Nick was tubbing it big time!  Dubya had no ball but thank goodness he sniffed one out this morning!  Taking it easy today, rest, food, wine, homemade apple pie, hot tubbing and football game tonight!

Why The Blog

This summer I got to meet and make some wonderful new friends from CA, there names are Denise and Steve Haerr.  Well they have a blog and have had one for a while, I have become a big fan since following the wonderful adventure they had from CA to SC this June.  So that being said I am hooked and hope you will be too!  Enjoy!
In fact here they are enjoy a lovely summer day in Charleston during Spoletto.

2010 NC Mountain Trip

Finally time for our much needed trip to the mountains with Brick, Paula and Dubya! We have rented a great home on Beech Mtn. at 4200 ft. So it will be a welcome break from the hot summer we have had here in Charleston!  We take off of Saturday 9/11 for a week of fun and many new memories!!
